Hello, friends. A little over a year ago, I found a rayon linen in the most beautiful deep dark burgundy — black cherry. I immediately knew this was something I wanted to add to the site. But before I could do anything meaningful with it, my supplier sold out and the colour was gone. So when they told me it was coming back into stock, I was very excited.
This is one of those colours I think is really special. It sits somewhere between black, chocolate brown and burgundy — as deep as a dark brown, but with a richness that comes through when the light falls on it and reveals that warm red undertone. It lives beautifully alongside other earthy tones and is a stunning contrast to brighter colours like citron.
Today we're launching black cherry in two of our pull-on trouser styles that haven't really had a feature this season — our Bella joggers and our Pippa wide leg trousers. More on both of those styles in the newsletters to come, but if you love the Sophie lantern trousers for their easy wearability, their pull-on elasticated waistband and their comfort, these two might well be your next addition. The Bella is a tapered jogger style and the Pepper is a classic wide leg, available in two lengths. Both are available today in black cherry.
Based on how quickly this colour sold out last time, I'd recommend not waiting too long on these — black cherry has a habit of disappearing fast xx
